About Scott.

As the son of a photographer, I was fascinated by photography at an early age.  By the time I was 11, I knew this was to be my life's work.  I spent as much time possible by my father's side, watching and learning the craft of photography.  At the age of 16, I was already photographing portraits and learning wedding photography.  I attended Rochester Institute of Technology's School of Photographic Arts and Sciences and earned both an AAS and BFA in photography.

For over two decades, I have been creating photography for Wedding, Portrait and Commercial assignments in a relaxed and elegant fashion.  I consider each assignment a fresh canvas to communicate my client's ideas and emotions through my photography in a fun and exciting way into something visually tangible, exceeding their expectations.  For me, this is what makes photography so dynamic and wonderful.

Within these pages you will see a variety of work.  My approach is "Less is More" (Ludwig Miles van der Rohe), "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should" (Scott Levine).  Equipped with many years of experience and technical knowledge, I pride myself in getting it right in the camera and not relying on software as a crutch to fix things in postproduction. That being said, I am no stranger to the computer.  I have used various imaging software since the mid 90's, before the Digital age took flight.

In many ways, I see myself, the photographer, as a Historian.  I have the distinct honor to chronicle and archive many personal histories.

Thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts with you,

Scott Levine
